Only Murders In The Building S2E10 (2022) Review

The murder mystery is solved successfully. "I Know Who Did It" is jam-packed with gut-busting hilarity, amazing turns, and a satisfying conclusion. Even the programme promises the possibility of a spectacular third season.

Over the opening montage, Becky Butler (Poppy) provides narration. She led a typical, if unhappy, existence taking care of her violent father and putting in long hours for a flirty boss who was also the mayor of the town. She changed her name, chopped off her hair, and disappeared in an effort to escape her miserable life. Then, in character as Poppy, she paid her idol a visit, proposing Cinda the concept of a Becky Butler podcast in exchange for a job. Poppy was Cinda's helper and was never treated well or given the credit she deserved.

The three hosts of the podcast discuss the current devious plan of Detective Kreps and Cinda. They conclude that the criminal pair conspired to frame the Mayor for a murder that he didn't commit. Now they are now attempting to frame our beloved three for a murder that neither of them committed. The group decides that in order to get Cinda to confess, she must somehow make a mistake, which is where Poppy enters the picture.

At the regular diner, the group gathers with Poppy. Poppy appears uneasy and is surprised by the idea of framing Cinda. They host a killer reveal party and invite the old Arconia gang as well as Mabel's creative ex-girlfriend Alice. The group plans its theatrical performance away from the cameras while also enlisting the assistance of the residents to trick Cinda into confessing. It's a dramatic, extravagant sequence that nicely complements the aesthetics and ideas of the play.

Charles accuses Cinda in a dramatic fashion after reviewing the facts. The crew then slowly moves in her direction while discussing and progressing. This setup was incredibly funny, one of the highlights of the overall episode. It’s the visual humour that makes this scene so funny!

As Mabel considers the evidence aloud, she shifts the subject and declares that Alice is the murderer. She describes how Alice wanted to purchase a painting by Rose Cooper but was unable to pay the $14 million for the "Savage" piece of art. She framed Mabel as a result, seeking to capitalise on Mabel's notoriety and her own Mabel-inspired artwork. Alice grabs the cake knife and assaults Mabel after essentially confessing to the crime. However, Charles leaps in the way, and the art dealer heroically stabs him, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Then Cinda gives Mabel a position and even her own podcast. Poppy is extremely outraged by this treachery and is furious. Poppy had given Cinda all of her effort without getting much in return. As she yells, she begins to sneeze, and it becomes clear that Poppy might indeed be the murderer.

Charles awakens and reveals that everything was a performance. Even Cinda participated in the drama. Not Cinda, but Poppy was the one being falsely accused the entire time. Poppy explains that she committed the murder because she wanted to produce a quality podcast and get Cinda's attention. Poppy ordered the sandwich with the number "14," and her DNA was on the knife. The last thing Bunny said was "14 sandwiches," not "14 Savage." After that, Poppy and Kreps are taken into custody while the filmmakers show flashbacks of their early romance. This explains their primary motivations for murder, which were the desire for fame and money.

The show then provides an update on the good outcomes for the trio. Charles and Lucy are spotted on the set, and thanks to Charles' growing notoriety, his character in the Brazos remake has gotten a bigger part. The makeup artist Joy then agrees to take him out on a date and give him a kiss. Mabel and Alice are seen repairing Alice’s flat, so they must have renewed their friendship. While Oliver tries to tell Will his deepest secret, his son acknowledges that he already knows the truth about the DNA test findings. Will doesn't care about the details because he believes Oliver to be his biological father. Then, over the phone, a position as director of a Broadway musical that opens in a year is presented to Oliver.

One year later, Oliver's show is about to premiere. Ben Glenroy, the star of the show, makes a cameo appearance. This actor seems to be Charles' opponent, and it's obvious that the two actors still have unresolved issues. I know what you did, Charles says before the match even starts.

As the play begins, Oliver joins his buddies in the crowd, eager to see, but tragedy strikes. Moments after beginning his opening statement, Ben passes away while coughing up blood. It appears that a fresh murder mystery has been planned for you fortunate viewers. Paul Rudd appears to be a guest star in this one, which appears to be based in the world of theatre.

It was clever that the murderer was someone we met all the way back in the first season. The plan made sense and everything was resolved very easily and neatly. The third season has already been well set up, with a guest star of Paul Rudd.

The Murderer Is Finally Revealed In Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 10.
