Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Love, Mystery . . . . and a human phoenix? What's not to like!
This was an exciting show to watch and this first season makes me want to season 2 already. Legacies is a spin-off of a spin-off. For someone who has never watched The Vampire Dairies or The Originals, I really enjoyed watching Legacies, it didn’t matter that I hadn't watched the previous shows. Across all three shows there are links between them all with characters and subjects like hybrids and originals, but everything was clear to understand really easily.
What I enjoyed with this show was a different monster a week show structure; you get to meet monsters you wouldn’t expect. In The Vampire Dairies and The Originals, we meet Vampires (obviously), werewolves and witches but in Legacies we are faced up against all of these and even a mummy, zombies and the headless horseman.
This show isn't all dark and mysterious, there are elements humour that you wouldn’t expect but it works really well throughout the show and season. It was great to watch all the characters grow and develop, especially Hope (the first and only tribrid, which is a vampire, wolf and witch all together, we first meet her in The Originals). There are lots of mysteries throughout, which makes you want to know more and watch the next episode.
The build-up to the finale is amazing and the final episode makes you want to know what'll happen in season 2 as unexpected events occur. This show is for any supernatural fan or someone who enjoys mystery. I'm already looking forward to what season 2 will have to offer later this year! Go and watch this on Netflix now!
