Inside Job is a type of workplace comedy animation that you can watch on Netflix. It is a kind of workplace comedy, where the lead character, Reagan Ridley, wants to be in charge but struggles to keep her team in order. We are faced with various secret cults and conspiracy theories throughout the entire season.
This show takes place in Cognito Inc, which is a secret company that runs the world for the mysterious and slightly creepy Shadow Board. They are responsible for all the conspiracy theories that we know today. Reagan is a genius and the daughter of the company's co-founder, Rand. Let’s just say that these characters don’t have the best relationship.
It is clear that Reagan doesn't have many people skills so her boss gives her a co-leader, Brett, to help her run her team. Brett is a really loveable character, and he represents a lot of people. He is like a human golden retriever that is eager to please, and doesn't really understand the company, but is thankful that he finally has true friends. In addition to that, there is also a part dolphin, part human hybrid man, and a sentiment mushroom that you find on the team.
With this season, it feels as if each episode is its own story, yet over the course of the season, there is a lot of character development. There is also a lot of work building between each episode, yet every episode feels contained as well. In addition, there are some references to the previous episode in each episode, as we see this team grow.
This is definitely a shoe full of mystery and is very appealing for anyone who is interested in conspiracy theories, as it brings them to life. Yet the focus on the weird and wonderful characters is what makes Inside Job such easy viewing. The characters are put into crazy situations that they must overcome. Each episode slightly improves, so that the two-part finale is actually the best episode of the entire season.
Other notable episodes include the trip to the reptile world or the episode where Reagan tries to break up with a James Bond-like character. However, all these crazy episodes take the second palace as Reagan grows and develops a better relationship with her team. The flaws in each of these characters are played upon to get a laugh now and then.
There is no denying that it's great to see how the different communities and secret agencies work alongside one another in this show. The rivalry between Incognito and The Illuminati was a great addition and really enjoyable to watch.
This first season had a huge and very entertaining finale that has left the door open to a second season. It is still unknown whether Inside Job will be graced with another season. Overall, Inside Job will offer you some really likable characters that we follow as we grow. This isn’t a hilarious show, but it has enough laughs and some more emotional moments to keep its fans hooked to watch the next episode.
