Black Panther (2018) Review

I went to see Black Panther last week; this is a Marvel film where T'Challa, the King of Wakanda (The Black Panther), rises to the throne in the isolated, technologically advanced African nation, but his claim is challenged by a vengeful outsider who was a childhood victim of T'Challa's father's mistake.

I found this film very enjoyable to watch. It was humorous and full of action. This is one of my favourite films, you become engrossed in what is happening on the screen that at times you may become part of that world. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this film as I didn’t know anything about 'Black Panther' and was not aware of the comic.

The concept and idea of this film is interesting and could be true. The idea that a nation could be more technically advanced and hiding from the rest of the world is an interesting thought. Even if it wasn't possible that concept, this film could be a sign of what advanced technology could be in the future. Marvel films are known for their CGI and this film is no exception. The CGI is very believable to watch as it could be true one day.

The character of 'Black Panther' portrayed by Chadwick Boseman, is a good hearted person who wants to help his country and be a good king. He loses sight of what sort of King he should be as he tries to be like his father. Yet, certain events make him see that keeping his nation away from the world and keeping all their advancements to themselves; this is hindering his nation not helping as much anymore. This is due to the fact, that people leave Wakanda and see what the rest of the world is like; as the rest of the world is constantly playing catch up when compared to the nation of Wakanda. As a result, some citizens believe they should use what they have got to help the rest of the world. The main crisis in this film is that some people of Wakanda want to use their advancements in weapons yet really they should be spreading their knowledge.

Music was different in this film yet it reflected the movie as it was a mixture of a kind of tribal mixed with technological elements and rap.

All the reviews for this film are extremely positive and I would agree with them as this film is full of action and humour. There are times that might make you cry; wold definitely recommend everyone to watch it.
